Thesis/Dissertation Submission
By Article 15, Central Library Operating Regulations, the library of university of Ulsan collects theses/dissertations (Legal deposit).
You must submit both online files and printed copies. Printed copies will also be delivered to the National Library of Korea and the National Assembly Library. It means you must submit 3 printed copies.

※ Thesis standards, approval papers, cover pages, and other matters related to thesis preparation and binding are in accordance with the University of Ulsan’s “Regulations for Graduate Thesis Binding” (Inquiries: General Graduate School 052-259-2083)
1. Submission guide for Online files
- Submission period: 2023. 06. 26(Mon) ~ 07. 07(Fri)
- It will take 2~3 days to check file errors. Please check your submission schedules.

Submission Status
- Unapproved: Can be modified and cannot be modified by the submitter once acquired by the administrator
- Approved: A submission confirmation can be output, and a copyright delegation form can be output.
- Returned: When there is an anomaly in the submitted article information and the administrator requests resubmission
Notice
- You may submit in HWP, MS Word, and PDF file formats. We recommend you PDF especially.
- You can use web browsers like Microsoft Edge, Firefox (*But, Opera and Chrome are not recommended.)
- When you submit splited files, please upload the files in order carefully. Each file must be in the same format.
- Theses/Dissertations must contain Front Cover, Title Page, Thesis/Dissertation Approval, Confirmation of Thesis/Dissertation Approval, Abstract, Table of Contents, References, etc.
- The online file and the printed copy must be identical.
- Notes
- When you submit online files, we recommend the name of the file as "Student Id number(Name)". (ex. 20021234 (Hong Kil-Dong). hwp)
- When inputting the abstract and table of contents, the Korean abstract and English (foreign language) abstract can be copied/pasted from the original file.
- After registering your paper, you must click the "Final Submission" button before your submission is complete.
- For inquiries regarding approval/return or replacement of submitted papers, please contact us at the contact information below.
- Please be sure to delete the spine (the page with only the title written vertically) and all blank pages (empty pages) of the paper.
- The reviewers' names must be entered on the approval paper in the file, and their signatures and official seals are optional.
- Authors who are considering applying for a patent should change the original service start date so that the paper will be published after the patent examination.
- Submitted theses will be converted into PDF files and made available through the website of the Central Library of the University of Ulsan and the websites of institutions that have entered into agreements with the University.
- Online submission is possible only during the submission period and is available 24 hours a day.
- Failure to submit by the submission deadline may result in the postponement of degree conferral, so please be sure to submit by the deadline.
- If each graduate school has its own internal submission schedule, please follow the schedule provided by the graduate school to complete the original file and print the submission.
- For inquiries regarding degrees and graduation circumstances, please contact the administrative office of each graduate school.
※ Request for deletion of personal information

If any personal information (phone numbers, email addresses, etc.) is included in the submitted thesis, please be sure to remove it before submission.
(This information is mainly included in the information to the questionnaire and in the IRB content.) - If a dissertation submitted by an author contains personal information about him/herself or others, the University of Ulsan will not correct it.
- The University of Ulsan will not be held liable for any problems that may arise from the inclusion of personal information in a paper that has not been deleted by the author.
2. Submission guide for the printed copies
- Submission subject: 3 copies of theses/dissertations with an Author Permission Agreement paper (research reports are not required)
- Submission method: Submit to the department's office or the graduate school
- Submission period: Ask the department's office or the graduate school
- You must hand out Author Permission Agreement with your signature.
- You must contain committee members' names in approval page. However signatures and official seals are optional.
Points to note
- Submission of the completed book must be made after submission of the online paper. (Binding of the finished booklets will proceed separately regardless of online approval)
